Wellington Lima

Born in Pernambuco, Brazil, Wellington Lima started playing the trumpet at the age of 16. He holds a Master of Music degree in Trumpet and a Bachelor's degree in Trumpet and Musical Education degree with interpretive practices in Trumpet from the Federal University of Paraíba. He was principal trumpeter of the João Pessoa Symphony Orchestra for ten years. He is a member of the Brazilian Trumpet Players Association (ABT).

Wellington Lima has given classes, masterclasses and recitals at Brazilian festivals. In 2017 he participated in the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) conference in Hershey,Pennsylvania playing Brazilian brass.  He is currently studying for an Artist Certificate at Azusa Pacific University with his co-soloist for this program, Professor David Washburn.
